Wildwood-coven reflects the cycle of the year. There are fifty-two characters divided into four seasons: Moon-Frost for winter, Snow-Thaw for spring, Flower-Forth for summer and Seed-Fall for autumn. Each season has a senior witch known as a Ward. Valonia is coven-mother. This gallery is the full compliment of Wildwood’s witches.
All of the illustrations are drawn in colour pencil. I use several different brands depending on whether I want crisp detail or sweeping strokes. The drawings were done on mid-grey pastel paper and then fixed with aerosol spray – it’s as simple as that!
